Hello, my name is Danna Wode and I teach Art 1 and Art 3. This is my first year as a Northeast Eagle, but I have been teaching for seven years. I have taught in Colorado, Missouri, Virginia, and now Tennessee. I structure all assignments around the belief that art education is critical for helping students develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities. With this belief in mind, students will always have the opportunity to grow from their mistakes by reworking and resubmitting projects if they so choose. Art is a growth mindset and Scott Adams sums it up perfectly by saying, “Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.” Please use the e-mail below if you ever need to contact me.
