I joined the NE faculty in 2007! It's great to be an EAGLE! I teach History, both US and World. The US History course begins in 1877 to present . The World History course begins in 1750 and covers to present. Both courses require mastery of geography skills as well. I give students the course pacing guide at the beginning of the year so, they can be aware of testing dates which can help in determining study times or work schedules.
I love teaching history! I believe more than any other class it helps create responsible citizens. An educated populous is the only way a democracy can be successful. If you have any questions or concerns please email me, it is the best way to communicate with me . Communication between parents and teachers goes a long way to making a successful year for the student and after all, that isn't that everyone's goal?

  1. Be Prepared Everyday- I require a 3 ringer binder dedicated to my class. It should be stocked with loose leaf paper. LAPTOPs are now treated like textbooks.  It should be with the student everyday, charged and with it's charging cord. Yes, you will still need to bring something to write with too.
  2. Be Engaged Everyday- The more a student PARTICIPATES the more successful they are on the tests. But more than that participation makes the time go faster not to mention it makes class soooo much more ENJOYABLE.
  3. Be Responsible for Yourself- If you do #1 and #2 that means you are being responsible for yourself.  You have either just entered HS or will soon be entering our community as an adult. So start practicing now how you want the world to see you.
