I have been teaching mathematics for three years. This is my first year at Northeast High, and my area of expertise is Algebra 1. I enjoy teaching math, but my favorite part is getting to know my students and watching them grow. Welcome to NEHS!

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!

Please view the class syllabus and calculator agreement files. The syllabus contains all the information regarding the goings-on of our class. It includes required classroom materials, expectations, yearly unit schedule, and more. The calculator agreement gives information on the calculators we use in class and what we recommend for home use. Students are not allowed to check out calculators overnight from Mrs. Neary.

Spanish (Traducido con Google Traductor): Plan de estudios and Acuerdo de uso de la calculadora.

Please read the NEHS Student Handbook and the Student Code of Conduct. If you have any questions regarding a policy or procedure, ask a teacher or administration for clarification.

The best way to get in contact with me is through email, although you are welcome to call my classroom phone. The number is (931)648-5640 ext. 1115.

Looking forward to a great semester!

  1. Students are expected to come to class prepared to learn and participate in class. This means they need to have a charged laptop, their three-ring binder with all notes, a pencil, and notebook paper in class every day.
  2. Food and drinks (except water in a clear container) are not allowed in the classroom. Students will have to discard any open food or drink in the trash upon entering the room. This is to ensure our classrooms stay a clean environment.
  3. Students are expected to be in their assigned seats before the tardy bell rings. If they are not, they will be marked tardy. Being tardy more than 3 times can result in a Discipline Referral per school policy.
  4. Students should immediately begin work on the Bellringer activity to start each class. They should not be talking socially during this time. The Bellringer is designed to review previously covered material or to prepare them for the lesson that day. Every minute counts, and this time at the beginning of class should be used for learning.
  5. Speaking while the teacher is speaking is not respectful and disrupts the learning process. You should refrain from talking while the teacher is giving instruction.
  6. Student laptops should only be used for instructional purposes in the classroom.
  7. The use of cell phones, headphones, or other electronic devices are not permitted in the classroom.
  8. For safety purposes, book bags and purses must be kept under the desk.
  9. Students are to remain in their seats during instruction unless specifically given permission to be up by the teacher. A student should raise his/her hand to ask for permission.
  10. Rude, vulgar, sexual, bullying, and general disrespectful language or behavior is disruptive to learning and will not be tolerated.
  11. Students should stop talking immediately and pay attention when announcements are made over the intercom. Announcements contain important information for students and talking can prevent students from hearing these messages.
  12. The bell does not dismiss the students. They should remain seated until dismissed by the teacher to ensure orderly dismissal and so any last information can be given.
