Northeast High School’s student body, faculty, staff and parents celebrated Veterans Day with a ceremony on November 7th. Participants from the school included JROTC, band and choir. Commander Col. Sam Preston and Command Sergeant Maj. Gary Petty (a former NEHS graduate) addressed the school assembly held in the gymnasium.

The Northeast Wind Symphony has been selected as one of four high school ensembles from the states of Tennessee and Georgia to perform at the Music For All Regional Wind Band Festival at Belmont University on April 5th. The Wind Symphony was selected through competitive audition for this performance. The Wind Symphony will travel to Belmont University on April 5th to perform a concert in Belmont’s beautiful McAfee Concert Hall, and receive instruction from two world class clinicians. Please congratulate the Wind Symphony for their monumental achievement!
