I’m delighted to be part of the English team at Northeast High, where I have the privilege of helping students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers. Teaching has been my passion for over two decades, and I truly enjoy working with teens as they discover their voices and develop confidence in their learning. I have taught a diverse range of classes, including speech, journalism, and media literacy. I earned my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from Murray State University, and in May 2025, I earned my PhD in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). Originally from Northwest Ohio, I moved to Clarksville with my husband when he was stationed at Fort Campbell. We now call this community home. We have three children, one granddaughter, and three dogs — a shepherd mix, a Belgian Malinois, and a Dutch Shepherd. When I am not in the classroom, I am usually drinking coffee with my friends, reading, traveling, or planning my next trip.
