Hello! Welcome to my teacher page. My name is Cheryl DeYeso. I am a Visual Arts Instructor and a Yearbook Adviser. This will be my third year at Northeast High School, and my ninth year with CMCSS. I grew up a military brat and lived all around the country, including overseas in Germany and Japan. I received a BFA in Graphic Design from UTM in 2008 and a BFA in Art Education in 2012. I am currently enrolled in a MFA in Art Education program through the University of Florida with a projected 2023 graduation date. I have an 11-year old daughter named Zelda and a 6-year old dog named Maggie. I believe every child is an artist. My role as an educator is to help each student develop an interest in and the ability for creative expression in visual terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression consistent with the TN Visual Art State Standards.

Grade Announcement for Parents & Students: Teachers are required to input assignments before the due date, so that you can be aware of assignments that are upcoming. This means that any in-progress grade will appear in PowerSchool. If a student completes the assignment on time, then the grade will improve upon the next grade update. Grades will be updated in PowerSchool at least 3 times per week.

Yearbook ordering information can be found at jostensyearbooks.com!
